DesignPoint Starts Podcast to Interview the Design Industry’s Best Vendors

Any organization that strives for excellence must seek excellence in all spheres of the operations. Upstream from a great customer experience is talented team players and a collaborative culture who rely on strong vendor relationships. In the case of DesignPoint, the final creation of any successful environment is predicated on designer expertise coupled with the quality products and information from suppliers. “Having quality products and the proper application makes for a successful project,” reveals DesignPoint designer Kayla Karan. With this in mind DesignPoint launched a series of interviews with their vendors and suppliers who represent the best furniture, fixture, lighting, and other décor specialists across the globe.

“We would never be able to achieve the outcomes that we do if it were not for the products and services that support our designs,” admits Cassidy Moran. “We pride ourselves in having excellent relationships with our vendors who provide insight and collaboration to make our ideas better.”

“The idea arose from our new social media and marketing goals coming into our 25th anniversary as a firm,” says Paige Bechtle, a design intern who is also pursuing a Master’s degree in interior architecture (MIA). “While looking for ways to represent both our company and the partners we work with, we considered ways to boost this interaction. As a company, we owe these sales representatives many thanks for the work they put in to help our projects reach their goals and with many, we have cultivated strong lasting relationships.”

The “Vendor Corner” features will be released regularly on DesignPoint’s social media. “Instagram is a great way to come in contact with colleagues and many of the manufacturers we work with daily,” says Bechtle.

It is important to provide value beyond the normal social media ‘tag’ and offer a feature that gets to know either more about our great partners, or their product, and ultimately inform and educate the designer population that we connect with on social media. Bechtle says, “We enjoy creating an outreach that inspires other designers and companies in their creative ventures and hope to be a source for education, innovation, and support.”
